Glendale police responded to an incident Saturday in which nearly 50 people entered and looted a store, according to a report.
On March 25 at 1:35 a.m., Glendale Police Department officers were called to a store near 6900 N. 83rd Ave. in regards to a mob rushing the store.
“Upon arrival the suspects were gone but the store was ransacked,” according to the report.
The clerk was not injured and it is unknown if there were any other people inside other than those who robbed the store.
Police say about 50 late teen and young adult suspects had ran into the store at the same time. One group stole beer, another stole snack, while another jumped the counter and stole alcohol and cigarettes.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance video of the incident. Police do not know the value of the property taken or the damage the suspects caused.
No arrests have been made.
Contact the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000 for any information on this or any other incident within the city.
