3 candidates vie for 2 Glendale Elementary board seats

The general election is 116 days away and three candidates turned in more than the required number of signatures to run for two seats on the Glendale Elementary School District board.

At least one board seat will have a newcomer. Current board memer Hector Jaramillo did not sub,it petitions by July 6, according to the Maricopa County elections and district data dashboard.

Brenda Bartels, who first joined the board in 2010, is seeking reelection. She is joined by one new candidate, Alejandra Lopez, and one candidate who sought election to the GESD board in 2020, Amber Gould.
