After a five year hiatus, the HonorHealth Tour de Scottsdale pedals into town April 13 with more than 2,500 riders from 40 states and five countries.

The start and finish line is WestWorld of Scottsdale, 16601 N Pima Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260, according to a press release.

The long course, 62 miles, will start at 7 a.m. while the short course, 35 miles, starts at 8 a.m.
The post-ride celebration will be in the WestWorld North Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include live music, food and local craft beers.

Proceeds from the event will support the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy and other local charities. Tour de Scottsdale also offers other nonprofit organizations to join them while providing the tools to fundraise for their nonprofit’s mission. Over 20 nonprofits have joined in this year who have already raised over $25,000.

HonorHealth CEO Tod LaPorte will be riding in the race.

“HonorHealth is thrilled to be the presenting sponsor for this year’s Tour de Scottsdale,” LaPorte said in the release. “Since 1927, our roots in Arizona have grown deep, and we remain steadfast in our mission to improve the health and well-being of community members from every walk of life. This commitment is woven into the fabric of who we are – and it shines through in events like the Tour de Scottsdale.”

After 20 years of producing this event, DC Ranch has turned the reins over to the

McDowell Sonoran Conservancy. Teaming up with Perimeter Bicycling Association, the Conservancy aims to revive the Tour de Scottsdale.

“Scottsdale has long been known as a healthy community, where all generations can enjoy clean air, sunshine, scenic trails, and beautiful landscapes,” Scottsdale Mayor David Ortega said in the release. “Whether you are an avid cyclist or new to the sport, Tour de Scottsdale will captivate, lead you to share passionate conversations and steer you to new friendships. Scottsdale is your gold-level, bike-friendly city!”
