Spinato’s, St. Vincent de Paul shelter commit to helping homeless with sales

Spinato’s Pizzeria in Tempe is hosting the Kindness Challenge for the third consecutive year during September as the restaurant encourages customers to assist with necessities for guests of the St. Vincent de Paul shelter.

Spinato’s team members and volunteers will spend the month putting toiletries, snacks, water and other items in bags customers can purchase for $5. The bags will be distributed throughout the month to guests in need.

“We believe it is important to build a culture of kindness. And we know that a small act of kindness can go a long way, especially for someone who is experiencing homelessness,” said Jaime Spinato, Spinato’s co-owner and director of community outreach, in a press release.
