Scottsdale’s Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children receives surprise $250K

Posted

The Scottsdale-based Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children recently received a surprise $250,000 donation from the Dahmen Family Foundation during a special check presentation. The gift will support the local nonprofit’s ongoing capital campaign, including sponsorship of a dedicated room at its facility designed to provide a safe, welcoming space for children with cancer and their families.

The Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children is committed to ensuring that no family navigates pediatric cancer alone and that children and families can continue to find joy, connection and hope after a diagnosis. The donation will support the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children’s comprehensive programs, which provide critical social, emotional and financial resources to children with cancer and their families across Arizona. With support from the Dahmen Family Foundation, the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children can provide services ranging from onsite counseling to tutoring, helping ease the daily challenges these families face.

Through these efforts, the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children helps children with cancer simply be kids while ensuring their families have the support they need.
