Brooks Goldmann Publishing recently launched author Earl L. Goldmann’s newest memoir, “Intestinal Fortitude” to the public at the Desert Foothills Book Festival in Scottsdale.
Goldmann penned his first memoir “Bounce Back” in 2017 at age 82, and his second memoir “Intestinal Fortitude” at age 87. His books are available on Amazon in paperback and e-book.
“I’m proud to have accomplished writing two memoirs late in life. This second memoir gives my first one more authenticity.” Goldmann stated in the press release.
Part autobiographical and part expose, “Intestinal Fortitude” weaves Goldmann’s battles with physical injury, alcohol abuse, depression and recovery with his success as a basketball standout, teacher, and coach.
His razor-sharp honesty and self-awareness reveal the difficult truth of losing the athletic scholarships he so desperately wanted, and his stories are as humbling as they are heart-wrenching, according to the release.
In this empathetic and moving memoir, Goldmann reveals how a not-so-ordinary young man, from a small town on the Oregon Coast, with so much potential, faced repeated trauma and stress in his life.
“‘Intestinal Fortitude’ is a powerful and compassionate personal journey examining a life filled with love, loss and forgiveness,” Rose Garlasco stated in the release. "Being a member of his critique group for two years was an honor."
