Scottsdale police say woman stole, pawned 'thousands' from seniors

Scottsdale detectives have arrested and booked a woman, alleging she stole jewelry, money and other property from residents of a senior living community.

Arin Arlene Shipley worked as a caretaker at the community where cash and property were stolen from March through May of this year, police said.

She was arrested June 14, police stated in a release.

“The total loss was thousands of dollars worth of items, and there were multiple senior citizen victims. Shipley took many of the stolen items and pawned them throughout the Valley,” the release stated.

“Our detectives worked to recover items and get them returned to the victims.”
