Scottsdale police detective arrested in suspected DUI crash

A criminal investigation is underway after an off-duty Scottsdale police detective, who has been arrested for suspicion of DUI, crashed the city-leased vehicle he was driving Friday night into another vehicle, authorities said.

The two people in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital for observation following the 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, crash near Pima and Indian School roads, police said.

An internal investigation is pended for the detective, Michael Lanouar, who was booked for suspicion of DUI, police said.
