Scottsdale police arrest 2 in assault at Extended Stay America in Old Town

Two men have been arrested and a another man suffered a fractured skill and cuts in an assault Sunday night at the Extended Stay America near 3500 North Marshall Way, Scottsdale police said.
Authorities began an aggravated assault investigation about 7:46 p.m. June 4 after finding a man with stab wounds that may have been caused by a stabbing. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police started searching for suspects and apprehended one person before trying to contact a second inside the hotel with a phone and using the department’s public address system.
The second suspect surrendered without incident about 11:30 p.m. to members of the department’s SWAT team.
Sixth Street was closed between 70th Street and Marshall Way, and southbound Marshall was was closed at Goldwater Boulevard, according to police.
The department’s Twitter account stated at 10:16 a.m. Monday that police units had left the scene, and roads were reopened.
Police said Monday afternoon they are working to provide more information, including identities of the suspects.
