The Scottsdale Jazz Festival returns to the Civic Center Saturday, April 26, bringing with it the sweet sounds of world-class jazz, Latin rhythms and soulful blues — all set against the backdrop of the city’s newly renovated outdoor venue.
Performances begin at 3 p.m. with the “Dan Pinson All-Star Band” followed by the “Nayo Jones Experience at 4:30 p.m.
“Carlos Rivas Y Mex-Sal” featuring Luisito Rosario will perform at 6 p.m. followed by the progressive jazz/rock band “Turning Point at 7:30 p.m. The headliner of the festival will be contemporary jazz heavy-weights trumpeter Rick Braun and saxophonist Richard Elliott who will start their set at 9:15 p.m.
