Police: $5.4M worth of illegal drugs found at Scottsdale property

Posted

The Scottsdale Police Department has seized a number of various drugs from one short-term rental property with a street value of more than $5.4 million, officials say.

In December 2022, Scottsdale Police was called to a residence after cleaning crews at a short-term rental discovered illegal drugs left behind. Detectives responded and were granted a search warrant for the residence, officials say.

Upon completion of the search, police reportedly found 1.7 million fentanyl pills, 110 pounds of methamphetamine, 7.5 pounds of cocaine, and numerous weapons were seized from the residence. Police say the street value is estimated at more than $5.4 million.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

“We are working with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, the Drug and Enforcement Administration, and other federal, state, and local partners to fight against this drug epidemic that continues to cause many to lose their lives. The Scottsdale Police Department aggressively pursues criminals who possess and traffic illegal drugs,” Scottsdale Police said in a press release.
