The inaugural Swim Across America - Phoenix Pool Swim will raise money for cancer research.

The event takes place from 9 to 11 a.m. on May 30 at the Skyline Aquatic Center at 845 S. Crismon Road in Mesa, according to a press release.

Participants can choose to compete in either a 0.5 mile swim, one-mile swim or team relay.
