Monterra at WestWorld of Scottsdale is welcoming a new chapter after city renovations transformed the longtime venue into a fully climate-controlled space for weddings, corporate gatherings and community celebrations year-round.
Monterra has been part of WestWorld since 1990. It operated under a private agreement until November 2024, when the city council approved bringing the operating rights to the city, which now manages Monterra as a rental facility within city-owned and operated WestWorld, according to a press release.
Before reopening on Oct. 23, the city installed a new heating and cooling system and roof, replaced indoor and outdoor flooring, painted the interior and exterior, and upgraded restrooms to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
The venue features a ballroom with a full bar, three outdoor function spaces and patios overlooking the WestWorld polo field toward the McDowell Mountains. The combination offers options for corporate meetings, private parties, conventions, galas and weddings.
