Mission2Alpha, a local nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for injured veterans and first responders, recently donated $500 worth of meals from Rooster Tavern to the Scottsdale Police Department --- District 3 Vía Linda to thank the officers for their work.
The donation comes as COVID-19 fears and numbers grow rapidly each day and essential workers like police are on the frontlines ensuring the community stays safe and healthy during these uncertain times, according to a press release.
The organization is a team committed to community service, service to military and service to those in uniform who protect us in our homes. Run by volunteers, the nonprofit prides itself on the ability deploy resources swiftly and efficiently.
The Via Linda District office is at 9065 E. Via Linda. Like the other offices, the Via Lind District office is closed to the general public but station police aides are available at the desk of each station from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
All Scottsdale Police Department buildings will have signs posted at the entrances with information of how to interact with the police personnel inside. Police are encouraging residents to use the online reporting system.
