Jeff Goodman receives ‘Wright Spirit Award’
Posted
Jeff Goodman, vice president of communication and partnerships for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, was recently honored with the “Wright Spirit Award” by the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy.
The annual, national award recognizes those who, according to a press release, have done “outstanding work to preserve, restore and enhance appreciation for Wright’s legacy.”
The Wright Spirit Awards was presented during the Conservancy’s annual conference, held this year in Buffalo, New York, and online.
Goodman won the award for the development and execution of Wright Virtual Visits, a social media initiative he launched with Heidi Ruehle and Eric Rogers during the pandemic when Wright Sites around the country closed to visitors, including Taliesin West in Scottsdale.
A dozen partner sites from countrywide allowed virtual visitors to explore some of Wright’s most treasured buildings. Each site shared a short video tour of another site via social media. Tours helped each site’s social media followers discover and experience new places and raise public awareness for all of the important landmarks, the release said.
The Wright Spirit Award recognizes owners and stewards of Wright buildings and others who have demonstrated a commitment to preserving and restoring the remaining built works designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and enhancing appreciation of Wright’s legacy.
