Gallery Andrea in Scottsdale presents its Valentine’s Exhibit, offering romantic florals by world-renowned artist Andrea de Kerpely-Zak, wearable Valentine floral art by Andrea Zakrzewski and featured works by artists Richard Johnson and Sara McKenzie.
Known most notably for loose impressionist florals, Hungarian-born artist De Kerpely-Zak has created a special series of miniature and large works with a Valentine theme.
“With the changing light I create a mood or moment in time,” de Kerpely-Zak says. “I achieve this through my spontaneous brush strokes.”
Custom wearable Valentine floral art including dresses, scarves and skirts are also featured by fashion designer Andrea Zakrzewski, whose designs have been seen on the runway of numerous fashion shows.
Gallery Andrea also presents the work of Sara McKenzie, an abstract/mixed media artist exploring the inner, subconscious experience and its relation to color, form and texture and the work of Richard Johnson, an oil artist known for his contemporary expressionism and abstraction.
“I’ve always loved the human figure,” says Johnson. “The ability to not only render the figure but to tell the story within that painting.”
Johnson studied at the Art Institute of Chicago & American Academy of Art.
Gallery Andrea is located at 7019 E. Main St. in Scottsdale.
