Davis Commercial AZ, 8160 E. Butherus Drive, recently promoted Cathy Maloney, of Scottsdale, to licensed commercial agent.
Maloney was hired in 2022 as business development manager for the Scottsdale commercial brokerage. In her new position, She will take on a larger role as a tenant/buyer representative, advocating on behalf of clients throughout the commercial real estate process.
Maloney will also handle exclusive seller representation and is part of the Davis Commercial AZ team selling 170,000 square feet of storage condos in Glendale and Laveen.
Born and raised in Chicago, Maloney relocated to Scottsdale in 2019 and accepted the position in business development with Davis Commercial AZ in 2022. Maloney brings 20 years of experience as an economic development consultant. In 2001, she founded Findzall Community Marketing where she assisted community leaders with business attraction, marketing and merchant education strategies in the Chicago metropolitan area. While working as a business development manager, Maloney obtained her real estate license. As a licensed commercial agent, she focuses on representing locally owned, independent businesses in securing space.
“Cathy’s transition from economic development to commercial agent is a natural fit,” states Andrea Davis, owner and designated broker of Davis Commercial AZ. “Cathy understands the needs of business owners, the importance of setting up shop in the right location and negotiating an agreement that makes good financial sense.”
