2025 Preps football preview: Desert Mountain

Desert Mountain junior Jeneral Solomon leaps to deflect a pass as senior Ryan McDonough, next to Solomon, reaches for the ball as well in an early August practice. McDonough is one of only 11 Wolves seniors in 2025 while Solomon is part of a loaded Class of 2027.

When the Desert Mountain Wolves host Saguaro in their Aug. 29 season opener, there won’t be dozens of seniors hoping to start out strong.

There will be 11.

While seventh-year coach Conrad Hamilton has a healthy total number of athletes in pads overall, there will only be 11 returning seniors hoping to lead the Wolves on a deep run into the 5A Conference playoffs.
