The Queen Creek Unified School District is touting the tangible benefits of giving to schools through the Arizona Extracurricular Activity Tax Credit.
At Desert Mountain Elementary, the tax credits allowed students to have hands-on learning experiences and after-school programs.
Students explored Legoland Discovery Center Arizona, dove into the science behind “Laser Tag Physics,” others tackled real STEM challenges, and some raced like pros at Andretti Indoor Karting, according to a district press release.
“I loved learning about how laser beams move and bounce,” one fourth-grade student stated in the release. “It made science a fun adventure.”
Donations also support resources for learning, including musical instruments and equipment that enriches arts education.
“Our ECA tax credit donations give kids experiences we couldn’t provide otherwise,” a Desert Mountain teacher stated in the release. “They directly support expanded learning opportunities and help our students thrive in so many ways.”
