Splash pads in Queen Creek ready to open next month

The weather will be heating up soon and that means splash pad season in Queen Creek.

The town recently announced splash pad at Founders’ Park, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road, will open for the season March 1.

However, the opening of the splash pad at Mansel Carter Oasis Park, 19535 E. Appleby Road, is delayed until March 29 as a result of warranty work being completed.

At the close of the season last year, warranty work began to minimize the impact to the public. The construction involves installation of a vapor barrier between the concrete and rubberized surface and replacing the rubberized surface, including seal application.

These enhancements will extend the life of this very popular amenity and are all covered by warranty, which means there is no cost to the Town.
