Sneakybird, a local and family-owned, oven-grilled chicken eatery that started in the Valley in 2022, opened its Queen Creek location on Monday.
The eatery is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily and is located at 22355 E. Queen Creek Road in the Marketplace at Hudson Station.
“The secret to the success of sneakybird, spelled with all lowercase letters by design to underscore our sneaky goodness, is the combination of a specially designed oven and innovative breading recipe that together combine to give the crunch and flavor of fried chicken,” founder Dan Chaon stated in a press release. “Through this cutting-edge technology, we've mastered a cooking process that locks in all the mouth-watering flavor and juiciness of fried chicken that will have mouths watering, minus any guilt.”
In addition to the brand’s oven-grilled chicken sandwiches, wraps, tenders and wings served with tater tots, coleslaw and veggies, the Queen Creek location also offers sliders — a new item on the menu.
“We are utilizing our perfectly crunchy, juicy tenders as the base for the new menu offerings, pairing them with a smaller version of our soft, lightly sweet, rich brioche bread and the guests’ choice of several spectacular dry rubs and sauces, resulting in several dozen flavor combinations, many of which are gluten-free,” Chaon stated.
He added that the company is “poised to take our ‘Never Ever Fried’ recipes countywide, and eventually nationwide.”
Sneakybird’s owners have also announced the formal launch of “Camp sneaky,” the chain’s community-giving arm which is focused on supporting education at all levels.
“Through Camp sneaky, we will work with schools, teachers, students and parents on fundraising programs to create meaningful change, ensuring our brand stands for more than just the world’s best chicken,” said Chaon.
For groups seeking a fundraising partner, the camp can help put together fundraising nights near its current four locations in Arizona. A portion of the proceeds are donated directly to the organization. The eatery’s marketing team will also work with all partners to publicize an event.
“We’ve been testing Camp sneaky for the past several months, partnering on fundraising programs with local schools, and we are seeing the communities come out in a big way,” Chaon stated.
He noted that programs don’t require a formal 501(c)(3) designation or be a formal school to qualify for funding. Organizations looking to partner with any of the locations can inquire in person or connect online at www.sneakybird.com.
