Posted

The Rhythm Ramblers big band will perform the music of swing icon Glenn Miller with vocalists Beth Leligdgon and Marc Redlich, 2:30 to 4:30 pm, November 3rd in Sundial Auditorium, 14801 N 103rd Avenue, Sun City. All selections will be suitable for dancing.

“Glenn Miller’s band had a unique sound that was wildly popular in the 1940s,” said Ramblers music director Bryan Altherr, “and dancers still love it today.”

Hits such as “Sentimental Journey,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” and “Moonlight Serenade,” will be presented, along with the national anthem of swing, “In the Mood.” In addition to lead vocalists Beth Leligdon and Marc Redlich, trombonist Jim Lee and guitarist Lynn Altherr will take a turn each at the microphone.

Event admission is $10 for Recreation Centers of Sun City cardholders and escorted guests. Members of the Rhythm Ramblers Club get in free. RCSC cardholders can join the club at the door for $15, which includes admission to the two remaining performances in 2026. Drinks and snacks may be brought in. Cups and ice will be provided. Tables for four or more can be reserved by calling Lynn Altherr at 602-909-7586.
