Queen Creek-based pediatric naturopathic clinic, Natural Pediatrix, is expanding its footprint in the Valley.
Founded by Heather Dirkmaat, NMD, Natural Pediatrix will open a second location in Scottsdale at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 15, at 9977 N. 90th St., Suite 170.
The community is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Queen Creek location is at 20062 S. Ellsworth Road, Suite 105.
Natural Pediatrix focuses on educating parents and treating the root causes of childhood health concerns.
“I want children to have healthy, happy lives, not just manage them from one acute episode to the next,” Dirkmaat said.
The clinic offers a range of pediatric services, including sports physicals, sick visits, acute care, physical exams and newborn visits.
Dirkmaat said the expansion into Scottsdale is a response to growing demand. Many of her current patients travel from Glendale, Buckeye, Anthem and even Utah and New Mexico to receive care.
“I am here to support parents in the decisions they make about their child’s health,” she said. “My role is to guide them on their parenting journey, not to judge or shame any choice they make.”
Dirkmaat holds advanced degrees in naturopathic medicine, biomedical sciences and biotechnology. Her research background includes cardiovascular health, genetically modified organisms, bovine mastitis and herbal therapies.
She serves as adjunct faculty in the research department at Sonoran University of Health Sciences, where she obtained her degree in naturopathic medicine.
Joining her in the new office is Marina McMorrow, NMD, also a graduate of Sonoran University, with experience in women’s health and hormonal care.
“I’m incredibly excited to join the Natural Pediatrix team and bring my knowledge of pediatric care to Scottsdale,” McMorrow said. “Dr. Dirkmaat has a reputation for delivering the highest level of care, and I look forward to contributing to the impact she is making for local families.”
Next year, the practice will welcome Amanda Garcia, NMD, who is completing a medical residency in Vermont.
