The town of Queen Creek will be holding an online auction for the naming rights of the Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre's arena 1.
The online-only auction begins at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 27.
To bid, registration must be completed by Monday, Aug. 25. Bids will be accepted in increments of $5,000.
The opening bid minimum is $20,000 annually for a five-year contract with a five-year renewal option. Bidding will continue until no bids have been placed for 30 minutes.
Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre, 20464 E. Riggs Road, was founded in 2009 and the town has invested resources and capital improvements to the site as part of an effort to attract, retain and grow events.
The Queen Creek Town Council approved the park’s five-year strategic plan in 2023. Earlier this year, a new 40-foot-tall monument LED sign for the park was approved.
Since 2011, Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre has nearly tripled its revenues, according to David Solum, Horseshoe Park’s general manager. During the 2023-24 fiscal year the center hosted 245 events with more than 216,000 attendees and 12,000 horses.
