Dutch Bros Coffee is purchasing the assets of the closing Salad and Go business Wednesday, according to documents from U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Southern Texas.
The documents show Tempe-based Dutch Bros will purchase Salad and Go’s assets of $105 million.
Dutch Bros will take over Salad and Go’s leases and equipment at its Arizona and Nevada drive-thru locations, converting them to sell coffee, beverages, and food items. The documents also show the locations don’t require any alterations or maintenance since they operate in drive-thru-only formats.
Salad and Go’s 70 locations in Arizona and Nevada are set to close at the end of business Wednesday.
Queen Creek has two Salad and Go locations at 1429 S. Ellsworth Road and 90 W. Ocotillo Road. San Tan Valley has one location at 1754 W. Hunt Highway.
There are six Dutch Bros locations in the Queen Creek-San Tan Valley area.
Salad and Go management met with two potential buyers on July 26 and 27, and entered into an agreement with Dutch Bros on July 31 according to the court documents.
Founded in 1992 by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma, Dutch Bros began with a double-head espresso machine and a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon. Dutch Bros currently operates more than 1,100 locations and is on a path toward 2,029 shops in 2029.
Attempts to reach representatives from both Dutch Bros and And Go were unsuccessful.
