Town of Queen Creek
The Queen Creek Recreation & Aquatic Center at Frontier Family Park is expected to open in spring 2025.

Queen Creek’s much-anticipated recreation and aquatic center at Frontier Family Park is expected to open in spring 2025.
“This facility has been years in the making,” stated Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley in a Thursday press release. “Our residents have been asking for a pool, slides, indoor sports courts and I am so excited that we are almost there. This facility will be a staple in our community — it will be where families and friends gather, being active and creating lasting memories.”
Featuring an indoor track, fitness area, zero-depth entry pool, lazy river and more, the Queen Creek Recreation & Aquatic Center is located on Signal Butte Road north of Queen Creek Road.
The facility was approved in December 2021 following resident input received through the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Update adopted in 2018 and a recreation amenity survey that was completed in the summer of 2021.
“In the most recent Citizen Survey (2023), 83% of Queen Creek residents reported visiting a town park in the past year, with 32% visiting a park more than 10 times. In a separate survey conducted in 2023, 75% of residents reported wanting a town aquatic center and/or multi-generational center,” the release stated.
Residents will be able to get memberships for individuals and households, with passes also available for purchase. Residents must have an active CivicRec account to purchase a membership. Non-residents can buy a day pass if they are accompanied by a Queen Creek resident at the time of purchase.
Membership and day passes will not include access to registration-based programs. Programs at the center will have resident and non-resident rates. For more information about what is included in memberships and passes, visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/Recreation. Membership fee information will be available in early 2025
Other amenities at the center will include indoor sport courts, a teen room, child watch and classrooms. The outdoor aquatic center will include a competition lap pool and slides.
The facility was designed by DWL Architects and is being constructed by Haydon.
The 85-acre Frontier Family Park, 20039 S. 220th St., opened in June. It has an inclusive play area, 5-acre fishing lake, lighted ball fields, picnic areas, splash pad, and basketball and volleyball courts. It also has 24 pickleball courts and a 1.5-mile multiuse path that spans the perimeter of the park.
