The Queen Creek Police Department has launched a new communication and customer service tool to enhance established communication and investigation workflows.
SPIDR Tech will send automated text messages, emails and mobile-friendly surveys to reporting parties, 911 callers and victims, providing updates after a call for service is placed, a town press release stated.
Key features of SPIDR Tech include:
When a call is placed to the QCPD non-emergency line, 480-480-3500, or 911 using a cell phone, an automated text message will acknowledge the call.
Ongoing updates will be sent regarding police response, including whether a responding officer is delayed.
Crime victims will have the opportunity to receive additional updates via email or text, even if they did not make the original call to QCPD. These updates may include details on case statuses, assigned investigators or other relevant information.
Crime victims will also have an opportunity to complete a survey providing feedback.
The tool cannot be used to send text communications to dispatchers.
“SPIDR Tech will enhance communication and connection with residents by providing another way to interact and engage with us,” Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice stated in the release. “This reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting a safe community through accountability, connection, and trust.”
