The Queen Creek Police Department has appointed Noah Johnson as its first assistant chief of police.
“This milestone reflects our commitment to leadership excellence, community engagement and continued organizational growth,” stated QCPD Chief Randy Brice in a town press release.
Johnson started his law enforcement career at 14 when he joined a cadet program with the Tempe Police Department, and was a correctional officer and jailer before joining the force.
During his 25 years with the Tempe Police Department, Johnson served in every bureau and retired at the commander rank. After retiring, he worked for the Kyrene School District as its safety and security coordinator.
He joined the QCPD in 2020 as a lieutenant and was promoted to commander in 2023.
“I am honored to step into this role as QCPD’s first assistant chief of police,” Johnson stated in the release. “When I joined QCPD, I was excited about the rare opportunity to be part of a new department and help build it from the ground up. Helping shape the culture, working alongside the community, and creating something that reflects what the community wants has been incredibly rewarding.”
