QCPD offers e-bike safety courses to kids and parents.

Queen Creek and the Queen Creek Police Department are continuing their efforts to make sure e-bike riders and the pedestrians and drivers around them are safe.
QCPD is hosting a free “E-bike & Motorized Devices Safety Class,” where operators can learn about e-bikes and other motorized device types, where they can be used, what’s new for riders in Queen Creek, and safe riding expectations.
The class is open to riders, parents and community members. Riders under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.
Riders with impounded devices must complete the class before the device can be released.
In May, the Queen Creek Town Council unanimously voted to prohibit the use of e-bikes and other motorized devices in town parks, establish a specific process for impoundments, set a 15-mph speed limit on sidewalks, multiuse pathways/trails and parking lots, and require hands-free operation of phones and other cellular devices by riders.
New safety class dates and registration are now available at queencreekaz.gov.
