Queen Creek High School’s football team made it to the 6A Conference state semifinals capping off a successful season for the Bulldogs.
And the accolades keep piling up for the team.
Head Coach Travis Schureman has been named Region Coach of the Year, and twice this season he was selected as the Boys High School Coach of the Week by the Arizona Cardinals.
Schureman attributes the success of the Bulldogs football team to the “unwavering effort and camaraderie of his players,” according to a Queen Creek Unified School District press release.
“We’ve got great kids who do things the right way, are coachable and work hard,” Schureman shared during an interview with QCUSD Superintendent Perry Berry, the release stated.
Berry commended Schureman for his leadership, noting that this “recognition is well-earned. Coach Schureman exemplifies what it means to inspire and lead,” the release continued.
Along with Schureman, several Queen Creek High Bulldog football players received 6A East Valley recognition including Tait Reynolds as Region Player of the Year.

The Bulldogs lost their state conference semifinal game to Centennial High last month. The team ended the season with an overall record of 10-3.
