Queen Creek chamber luncheon will feature town of San Tan Valley leaders

Posted

The first mayor and vice mayor of the new town of San Tan Valley will be the special guests at the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce’s Monthly Network QC Luncheon in December.

San Tan Valley Mayor Daren Schnepf and Vice Mayor Tyler Hudgins will be providing insights into the town’s plans and goals for the future.

“This moment marks an important chapter for our region. Hearing directly from San Tan Valley’s newly elected leadership about their vision, their priorities and how they plan to partner with the town of Queen Creek gives our business community valuable insight into what’s ahead,” Chris Clark, president and CEO of the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, stated in a press release.

The town of Queen Creek supported San Tan Valley's incorporation as important to strengthening the region.

“Their perspectives will help us better understand the opportunities that come with incorporation and the ways we can work together to support thoughtful, sustainable growth for the entire area.”

On Aug. 5, residents of a portion of unincorporated San Tan Valley voted in favor of incorporating the area," Clark stated in the release.

The successful incorporation drive started in 2023 and was spearheaded by San Tan Valley Inc. Past efforts to incorporate San Tan Valley failed in 2004, 2010 and 2017.

On Sept. 17, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors selected seven people to serve on the inaugural San Tan Valley Town Council. The council then elected Schnepf as mayor and Tyler, chairman of San Tan Valley Inc., as vice mayor.

On Nov. 5, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley entered into an agreement in which Queen Creek will provide the new town with an up to $250,000 a month loan to help the San Tan Valley government get on its feet.

Under the terms of the agreement, Queen Creek will provide up to a quarter-million a month in loans to the new town until Nov. 1, 2026, or until San Tan Valley receives its share of state revenue, which is expected to be about $51 million.

The earliest the state-shared revenue could be given to San Tan Valley is July 2026. That revenue cannot be disbursed until a census in San Tan Valley is completed.

On July 1, 2026, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors will pass all responsibility for the area to the new town leaders.

Along with meeting the town of San Tan Valley’s new leadership, attendees at the chamber luncheon will be able to network with other local professionals and take part in a panel discussion on marketing methods that won't break the bank.

The event starts at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9 at the Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road.

Tickets can be purchased online at Network QC Luncheon December 2025 - Queen Creek Chamber.
