Queen Creek cemetery hosting 10th annual Memorial Day service

Posted

San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms will be hosting a special service on Memorial Day to honor the nation’s fallen servicemembers.

The event runs from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, May 25 at 22425 E. Cloud Road.

The event is presented in partnership with the Duane Ellsworth American Legion Post 129 and has become a local tradition.

Each year, attendance continues to grow, with more than 200 community members expected to gather in remembrance and tribute.

The Memorial Day service will include:

  • A patriotic ceremony honoring fallen heroes.
  • A formal flag ceremony.
  • A live airplane flyover.
  • Guest speakers, including from the town of Queen Creek.
  • Complimentary refreshments.

In addition, a community blood drive will be held on-site from 9 a.m. to noon, offering attendees another way to give back in honor of those who have served.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for comfortable seating during the outdoor service.

This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

San Tan Memorial Gardens has hosted this event for the past decade as part of its ongoing commitment to honoring veterans and serving families throughout the East Valley. Located at Schnepf Farms, San Tan Memorial Gardens is the only cemetery in Queen Creek.
