Public hearing April 8 on long-term debt proposal to refinance costs of Pinal County projects

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors will be looking at a long-term debt proposal to refinance the costs of projects in Pinal County.

The long-term debt will be used to refinance all or a portion of the payments due pursuant to a First Purchase Agreement, dated as of Aug. 1, 2010, between the county and The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A., a portion of the proceeds of which financed the costs of medical service facilities and administrative facilities, according to a release.

The total estimated financing cost will be $12,061,256.25, consisting of an estimated principal amount of not to exceed $9,255,000 and total estimated interest of $2,806,256.25.

The public hearing is scheduled to take place during the Pinal County Board of Supervisors' meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, in the Hearing Room at 135 N. Pinal St. in Florence

The supervisors will hear this item as part of a public hearing during the regularly scheduled meeting.
