The Federal Emergency Management Agency is hosting a public open house in February regarding revised flood insurance rate maps and the flood insurance study report for an area including Apache Junction and Queen Creek.

The event 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center, 1035 N. Idaho Road, aims to provide Pinal County residents with vital information regarding the revised maps and report, according to a release.

Preliminary copies of the revised maps were distributed on Dec. 5, 2023, the release states.

“Now, it’s time to delve deeper into the flood-hazard information, understand the post-preliminary process, and most importantly, address any questions or concerns you may have,” the release states.

FEMA’s mission is helping people before, during and after disasters, according to fema.gov/about.
