Meet Your Business: Eggstasy

Posted

Recently, there has been a spate of new breakfast/brunch restaurants in Queen Creek, with the latest being Eggstasy.

The Valley-based chain opened at the Queen Creek Marketplace in January. There are seven other Eggstasys in Phoenix, Chandler, Scottsdale and Mesa.

For owner Peter Verros, Eggstasy is both a business venture and a personal love — of breakfast. He opened his first brunch spot 30 years ago and the allure has yet to fade.

Verros was lucky to have a staunch supporter in his corner. His father immigrated from Greece  with just $17 and learned the restaurant business. He passed that knowledge over to his son who has been flourishing in the Valley for three decades.

Read on to learn more about Verros and Eggstasy.

Your Name: Peter Verros

Town/Neighborhood: Queen Creek

Business Name: Eggstasy

Locations: 20736 E. Maya Road., Suite 101

Hours of operation: 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday: 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays

Personal background highlights: I was born and raised in the restaurant business. My father, who immigrated from Europe, was also in the restaurant business.

Professional background highlights: From humble beginnings, dishing out the most important meal of the day, I took a detour into the world of dinners and bars. But my heart always beat faster for breakfast. It’s an endless canvas for culinary creativity. Thirty years ago, I launched the very first trendy breakfast spot — before brunch was the event we know it as today. Now, the world has finally caught up.

What I do: With Eggstasy, I get to craft a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for everyone —from kids and families to friends and large gatherings. Our menu is inspired by fresh, local ingredients, and we boast about our generously large portions. I’m really proud of the fun and modern vibe we’ve created in a setting that feels as good as the food tastes.

What I’m excited about and why: Joining the vibrant and growing community of Queen Creek. We're all about adding value to this thriving town and being part of its exciting journey. We’re thrilled to elevate the local brunch scene with our “egg-mazing” service and menu.

When and why I started my business here: Our growth across Arizona has been remarkable, starting in Scottsdale and then opening spots in Chandler, Phoenix and Mesa. Now we’ve brought our unique touch to Queen Creek. It’s the perfect ”next chapter” for our community expansion.

Where was before and why I left: Chicago – I got tired of the cold. (LOL)

My family: We recently welcomed our first son into the world. I come from a tight-knit, family-oriented background with a loving wife, an incredible mother, and a late father who passed down his invaluable business wisdom to me. Family means everything to me.

People who inspire me (and how): My dad. With just $17 in his pocket, he journeyed from Greece and built a remarkable life for my mother, sisters and me. He instilled in me the essence of the restaurant business, along with invaluable life lessons—morals, values and a passionate love for the game. When I decided to strike out on my own, he was my steadfast supporter.

My guiding philosophy: Unwavering consistency, exceptional quality and impeccable cleanliness — each and every time.

My advice to today’s youth: Give it your all, embrace honesty, stand by fairness, hold your ground  and never surrender. Keep pushing forward, keep fighting — relentlessly.
