Man thanks life-saving Queen Creek emergency responders

Posted

A man who survived a life-threatening event due to the quick work of Queen Creek’s emergency responders is expressing his thanks.

Three weeks ago, Queen Creek Fire & Medical responded to a call for service involving a patient with chest pain.

On assessing the patient, the crew found that the man was experiencing a massive heart attack and provided critical care and transport to a hospital.

“Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the patient went into cardiac arrest and was successfully resuscitated by the hospital team,” according to a post on the QCFMD’s Facebook page.

Last week, the unidentified man and his son “walked through the doors of Fire Station 411” to personally thank the team that saved his life.

“In our line of work, we rarely get to see the outcome after a patient is transferred to the hospital. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. We are deeply honored to have played a role in this individual’s journey and are so thankful for the chance to reconnect,” the post continued.
