Liquor license recommended for Queen Creek pizza place

The Queen Creek Town Council has forwarded a recommendation of approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a pizza restaurant.

Your Pie, located at 25004 S. 206th St., is part of the Pecan Lake Entertainment center.

Pecan Lake Entertainment center is asking for a Series 012 Restaurant Liquor License.

The center already has a beer/wine liquor license, according to a report from the Queen Creek Police Department.

“The purpose of this specific application was to authorize the sale of mixed drinks as well inside the Your Pie establishment. I asked who would be serving the liquor and he assured me that properly trained employees would be serving the alcohol,” the police report stated.

A Series 012 is a non-transferable, on-sale retail privileges liquor license that allows the holder of a restaurant license to sell and serve all types of liquor for consumption at an establishment that generates at least 40% of its gross revenue from the sale of food.

The council forwarded its recommendation at its April 16 meeting.

The item was part of the town's public consent agenda in which a public hearing is called before a vote. No member of the public commented on the item and it was passed 7-0.
