You’ve heard of coffee with a cop, now the Queen Creek Police Department is offering fishing with a cop.
As part of its annual Faith & Blue initiative, QCPD and Queen Creek Park Rangers are bringing the community together for a family-friendly event filled with fishing and carnival-style games hosted by local faith-based organizations.
The Cops & Bobbers Community Carnival takes place from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday at Mansel Carter Oasis Park, 19459 E. Appleby Road.
Fishing poles and bait will be provided while supplies last and a fishing license is required for participants aged 10 and older.
The event will offer a limited number of prepaid fishing licenses on-site while supplies last.
Along with fishing and games, residents can learn about the faith-based organizations’ programs, volunteer opportunities and other ways to become involved.
