Families fun at Queen Creek’s Pickett Elementary picnic

Posted

Frances Brandon Pickett Elementary recently held its Picnic at Pickett, where families can meet one another and connect with teachers and staff in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

“This is our second year here, and I really love the teachers. I also love the sense of community and all the activities the school puts on. There’s always something going on, and it’s just a really great environment,” stated parent Kaitlin Ferguson in a Queen Creek Unified School District press release.

Another parent, Julia Orban, stated that the picnic was a great opportunity for parents to enjoy school activities with their kids.

“It allows us to experience what they get to do during the school day and share in the fun with them. Events like this are always enjoyable, and the school hosts many activities like this throughout the year,” Orban stated.

Many parents commend the school for balancing academics and welcoming the community.

“It’s a great balance of learning and fun. It almost feels a little magical, if that makes sense,” Ferguson stated in the release.
