Eleven middle schools from across Pinal County -- from Superior to Maricopa – took part in Central Arizona College’s Math Department 17th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest.

The competition took place at the Signal Peak Campus in Coolidge. Students competed in both individual and team competitions. In total, 110 students participated in the event, according to a press release.

Winners represented schools in the Florence Unified School District, the J.O. Combs Unified School District and the Maricopa Unified School District.

The winners are:

Zane Noga (not pictured) and Jenesis Arias of Circle Cross Ranch S.T.E.M. Academy K-8 took first place during the team competition at Central Arizona College’s Math Department 17th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest.

Emma Brighton and Victoria Peterson of J.O. Combs Middle School took second in the team competition during Central Arizona College’s Math Department 17th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest.

Marc Duverson and Makai Mallory, Skyline Ranch K-8 School in Central Arizona College’s Math Department 17th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest.

Madison Faulkner of Circle Cross Ranch S.T.E.M. Academy K-8 won Mathlete of the Year at Central Arizona College’s Math Department 17th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest.

Julian Soto of Skyline Ranch K-8 School took second place in the individual competition at Central Arizona College’s Math Department 17th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest.

Wyatt Schapp of J.O. Combs Middle School took third place during the individual competition at Central Arizona College’s Math Department 17th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest.
