Queen Creek Unified School District business partners recently traded in work boots for cleats to support local classrooms at the Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation’s seventh annual softball tournament fundraiser.
“Investing in QCSEF is investing in the future of our community,” Chris Sepulveda, sales representative with Pueblo Mechanical, stated in a district press release. “When local businesses support our schools, we’re not just helping students succeed. We’re building a stronger, smarter workforce and a more connected Queen Creek.”
Sepulveda shared how special it felt to gather with the contractors, builders and service providers who work alongside QCSEF throughout the year.
“Today we’re out here enjoying some softball with a lot of the subs and contractors that work with the Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation,” he stated. “I live on the east side, so it means a lot to us to be out here, support the community and support the schools. Couldn’t have been a better day.”
Teri Ceranski, an associate estimator with Mid-State Mechanical, helped assemble her company’s team for the second year in a row.
“We participated last year. We had so much fun, so we decided to do it again this year,” she stated in the release.
Ceranski emphasized the value of bringing businesses together for a shared purpose.
“It’s extremely important because it’s for a great cause. It’s the education of our kids. We need to help our education system here in Arizona. It’s an awesome event,” she stated.
Both Ceranski and Sepulveda echoed the same sentiment — strong schools build strong communities.
“When local businesses support our schools, we’re building a stronger, smarter workforce and a more connected Queen Creek,” Ceranski stated in the release.
