Queen Creek first responders recently received a visit and a thank you from a young man whose life they saved.

In April, Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department crewmembers from engine 413 and medic 413 responded to a call for service that resulted in Jacob being flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital with life threatening injuries.

On May 30, Jacob, along with his family, walked into Fire Station 3 where he asked many questions of the crewmembers who helped to save his life, according to a QCFMD Facebook post.

“Jacob, who has always wanted to be a firefighter, got to check out the different vehicles and equipment that we use in emergency situations,” the post continued. “We want to thank his family for stopping by to reconnect with us. These special moments are ones that are deeply meaningful to our crews.”
