A 24-year-old woman was arrested Thursday in the theft of a Phoenix Fire Department ambulance in West Phoenix according to a release from Phoenix Police on Friday.
According to the release, at approximately 11 p.m. Aug. 27, a woman, later identified as Grace Vicente, entered the driver’s seat of a Phoenix Fire Department ambulance that was parked at a business near 2100 N. 83rd Ave. while staged and available for service at a concert venue. The ambulance was running, and Vicente entered the driver’s seat and drove away.
Shortly after leaving the scene, Vicente collided with another vehicle in the immediate area. The driver of that vehicle was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
