Eastbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes this weekend between 7th and 16th streets, state transportation officials said.

Crews will be working on a wall project, and drivers should plan for 16th Street to be closed in both directions beneath the Loop 101 overpass.

Drivers can travel around the 16th Street closure by using the Loop 101/Beardsley frontage roads and turning at either Cave Creek Road or Seventh Street, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The work will take place from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, March 25.
