Phoenix police detectives are asking the public for help in finding the suspect in the weekend stabbing death of a 29-year-old man near 24th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Officers responded about 11:50 p.m. Aug. 15 where they found Lonnie Shepherd Jr. lying on the ground outside a restaurant. He had at least one stab wound and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Preliminary information indicates the suspect and victim were involved in an altercation near the restaurant before Shepherd was stabbed.
