Phoenix native participates in world’s largest international maritime warfare exercise

A Phoenix native was recently involved in one of the world’s largest maritime exercises, according to a release from the U.S. Navy.

Petty Officer 1st Class Won Chung, a graduate of Sandra Day O’Connor High School in 2014, joined the Navy in 2016 and serves aboard the USS Essex.

Chung participated in the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise in and around the Hawaiian Islands.
