Two officers have been put on leave after allegations they used force during a traffic stop and did not report their actions as required by Phoenix Police Department policy, authorities said Monday.
The department learned of the accusations from community members last week, according to a release.
Preliminary information indicates the officers conducted a traffic stop about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 5 in South Phoenix. During the stop, force was used by the officers and not reported as required by policy, including the failure to activate their body‑worn cameras, police said.
