Some local protesters along Bell Road and Civic Center Drive in Surprise over the weekend prepared to be on the front line with their signs that solicited the sounds of car horns honking while passing by the crowded corridor in Surprise.
“I have two daughters and I have been working to create a better future for them as a parent and I see their future in danger,” said Libby Christianson. “I need to speak up and stop the coup. That’s what I told my daughters.”
Not only was she among the thousands gathered in cities throughout the country for over an hour during a planned national day of action Saturday, April 5, but she met with people sharing like causes and concerns for a sign-making party Friday afternoon at Ann Johnson’s Sun City West home to prepare for the nationwide Hands Off Rally.
