With the school year in full swing, the Kyrene School District has held a first reading of various policies regarding school extracurricular groups, CPR-trained staff and reporting of abuse to authorities.
Most of the discussion focused on an optional statute involving patriotic groups that distribute flyers and speak to students.
The policy statute specifically listed the Boys and Girls Clubs, Future Farmers of America, Girl Scouts of America, Marine Corps League, Little League Baseball, Civil Air Patrol, Scouting America and Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
