The Glendale Police Department is seeking the community's help to find those responsible for the 2019 stabbing death of then 36-year-old Carlos Chavez.
Police said Chavez was walking to his apartment in the area of Camelback Road and 58th Avenue on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, when an unknown assailant got out of the passenger side of a car and stabbed Chavez to death.
Detectives learned that the car involved was a white 4-door older model Toyota Corolla.
With detectives searching and family still in mourning, community involvement may be the break this case needs.
Chavez’ family has shared how their loss has affected them personally and how a tragic event more than four years ago is still affecting them.
Silent Witness hosted members of the Chavez family in Phoenix to share their story April 25.
The reward is up to $5,000. Those who have any information regarding this case may contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS, 480-948-6377, or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speaking people.
